Test Yourself

Case 1

HISTORY

Gradual onset lethargy, some weight loss and mild jaundice with abnormal liver function tests.

ULTRASOUND FINDINGS

There are numerous hypoechoic solid lesions evident throughout both lobes of the liver.

DISCUSSION

These most  likely represent metastases. If the patient had been immunosuppressed or had high fevers multiple abscesses would be an alternative possibility.
